The Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Discussion Group For Government

Engagement is a big thing these days, and one of the things government is jumping onboard with is interacting with citizens, open government, and better customer service. At least that’s the official policy.

The Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Discussion Group has about 300 members. While it’s hosted on govloop.com which is a meeting spot for government staff, you will find that many of the active participants are non-government people (vendors) hoping to establish a business relationship with government. So, as you read the posts and discussions in this group, it’s good to know that many of the posts are not from government people per se, but coming from those who are selling some product or service.

Still, there’s good stuff here, provided you make the distinction and examine who is saying what about citizen engagement.
